At the beginning of 2025, comedian Samay Raina was dominating the YouTube space with his show India's Got Latent. However, a single episode and a single question changed everything for Raina and his popular show. The show landed in legal trouble, with multiple FIRs against the comedian and his team, including panellist Ranveer Allahbadia (who made the controversial comment), and influencers Ashish Chanchlani and Apoorva Mukhija. A year later, Samay is gearing up for a new comedy special. He announced the same while revisiting his controversial episode.
Samay Raina announces new special Still Alive
On Sunday, Samay Raina took to Instagram and shared a video announcing his return with a new comedy special titled Still Alive. The announcement video featured how India's Got Latent began on June 14, 2024, had several successful videos, and gave a platform to several new talents. It also featured the clip where Ranveer asked the question that sparked backlash and the eventual downfall of the show. The clip then highlights the legal trouble faced by Samay, Apoorva, Ashish, and Ranveer Allahbadia. The video ends with him announcing his return with his new special.
