Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut has opened up about the backlash she often faces, saying she finds it “unsettling” when people reduce her to extremes. “It’s unsettling when people say ‘love or hate her, you can’t ignore her’. I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve the hate,” she said in an interaction with Bhardwaj Rangan. Kangana added that while she has been vocal about national issues, criticism often comes without reason. “Some people have a problem just because you breathe. But I don’t hate anyone,” she asserted, underlining that she continues to stand by her views despite polarising reactions.

mid-day had recently reported that after 14 years of ‘Queen’ (2013), the actor is set to reunite with filmmaker Vikas Bahl for a new project, reportedly a high-concept drama. The film is expected to centre on a strong female-led narrative, echoing the spirit of their earlier collaboration. The project is likely to go on floors in April-end.
