She was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital as a precautionary step for close monitoring. Medical experts explained that at her age, minor issues can escalate quickly, requiring timely hospital care.

Dr Pratit Samdani exclusively shared update with mid-day, “I can only confirm that she is admitted. I can’t give any other health update.” When prodded if it was indeed for cardiac arrest, as being rumoured online, the doctor simply said, “Thank you.”

The hospitalisation was not considered alarming, with doctors focusing on observation and stabilisation. She remains under continuous medical supervision, with her health being closely tracked by specialists.

Grand-daughter Zanai Bhosle shared an update, "My grandmother, Asha Bhosle due to extreme exhaustion and suffering a chest infection has been admitted to hospital and we request you to value our privacy. Treatment is ongoing and hopefully everything will be well and we shall update you positively."
