From a New Year’s Eve meeting to a surprise proposal in Dubai, Karishma Tanna and her husband’s love story feels straight out of a fairytale.

In Farah Khan's vlog, she recalled “We met on 31st night at a common friend’s place. I noticed him as a tall guy and he noticed me as a tall girl."

Their first meeting was brief and without conversation, but fate stepped in quickly. Their story began over a witty text.

Just a day after their brief encounter, they reconnected thanks to a mutual friend, and that quirky message sparked the start of something unexpectedly beautiful.

Karishma fondly recalls, “The best thing about him was that he didn’t know who I was,” noting how Varun’s distance from the entertainment world brought a refreshing honesty. She remembers how he would casually ask, “Sorry, what do you do?” when people clicked pictures with her.

Karishma Tanna recalls being told they were going to “chill” in Dubai, with Varun subtly planning a surprise skydiving experience that she had no idea about.

She remembers being shocked when she realized she had to jump alone, calling it her first-ever skydiving experience while Varun stayed behind in a poker-faced setup.

As she landed, she saw Varun on his knees with a banner reading “Will you marry me?” and a solitaire ring, turning the surprise into an unforgettable proposal moment.

After dating for some time, Karishma and Varun got engaged in 2021, and tied the knot on February 5, 2022, in an intimate beachside ceremony in Mumbai.

Their wedding combined Gujarati and South Indian traditions. It was attended by who's who from film and television world.

Karishma and Varun are all set to embrace parenthood after 4 years of marriage and they announced the news with adorable pics and caption that read, “A little Miracle , Our greatest gift — August 2026."

On the professional front, Karishma, who ventured into the entertainment industry two decades ago, has been a part of shows from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi to Naagin 3 and Qayamat Ki Raat. Karishma also ventured into Bollywood with movies like Grand Masti, Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju, and Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari. She was also loved for her OTT shows Hush Hush and Scoop.
