The actor-politician is contesting the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly election and is currently in full swing with political rallies. Ahead of the Tamil Nadu elections, he addressed the ongoing controversies surrounding him, including his film Jana Nayagan's censorship issues, his divorce from his wife, Sangeeta Sornalingam, and rumours of his relationship with Trisha Krishnan at the rally. The actor-politician claimed that all his recent troubles have been caused by his political opponents.
