Traffic affected at Thane's Ghodbunder Road after petrol tanker emits smoke

According to officials, the smoke was caused due to a jammed brake liner in the rear tyre of the tanker. The vehicle, carrying around 20,000 litres of petrol, was travelling from Turbhe to Daman

Traffic on the busy Ghodbunder Road in Thane district of Maharashtra was affected on Monday after a petrol tanker emitted heavy smoke, officials said, adding that the civic authorities rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

No injuries were reported in the incident, the officials said.
