"This amount is 40 per cent of the total FDI received," he said referring to FDI figures for 2024-25. He said this is 32 per cent more than the FDI received by Maharashtra in 2023-24.

Mumbai News LIVE Updates: 76 new COVID-19 cases come to light in Maharashtra
As many as 76 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra on Thursday, the state public health department said. The total of cases reported in the state since January 1, thus, rose to 597, it said in a release. There are 425 active patients at present while 165 patients have recovered. Seven patients have died since January, of which six were suffering from co-morbidities, the release said. The passenger, who landed in Mumbai on the intermediate night of May 24 and 25, appeared uncomfortable during questioning which gave rise to suspicion, he said. A medical examination showed that he had ingested yellow-coloured pellets. After the pellets were removed through a medical procedure, they were found to contain a total of 886 grams of cocaine worth Rs 8.66 crore.
