Back in Season 5, Episode 15 of Karan Johar's chat show, <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/entertainment/bollywood-news/article/koffee-with-karan-8-orry-reveals-how-boney-kapoor-launched-him-in-front-of-paps-karan-johar-23330482" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Koffee With Karan</a>, Varun Dhawan shared his wish to have a baby girl. While on the couch with Alia Bhatt, during a rapid-fire round, KJo asked Varun, "What do the following have that you don&rsquo;t?" When Shahid Kapoor was mentioned, Varun responded, "He has a baby girl. I don&rsquo;t want his baby girl. I want my own." He added, "Shahid, your child is yours. I don't want your child."

After being spotted at Hinduja Hospital with a duffel bag in hand, many assumed that Varun Dhawan's wife, Natasha Dalal, had gone into labour. Now, it seems congratulations are in order because proud grandfather David Dhawan has confirmed the news himself.

Confirming the news to Viral Bhayani, proud grandfather and filmmaker <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/celebrity-life/parenting/article/varun-dhawan-and-natasha-dalal-welcome-baby-girl-proud-grandfather-david-dhawan-confirms-23352543" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">David Dhawan</a> said, "It's a baby girl."
On Monday morning, actor Varun Dhawan was seen at the Hinduja hospital carrying a small red bag. Reports suggest that he's about to become a father for the first time with Natasha Dalal. He was dressed casually in a white t-shirt and blue track pants, walking past paparazzi without stopping. Later in the day, the Dhawan family, including Varun's father and other relatives, was spotted arriving at the hospital in Mumbai, as they prepared for the arrival of Varun and Natasha's first child.
Earlier this year, in February, Varun and Natasha shared the news about their pregnancy. The couple posted a beautiful image in which Varun was seen planting a kiss on Natasha's baby bump. Sharing the picture, he wrote, "We are pregnant, Need all your blessings and love #myfamilymystrenght."
Varun Dhawan tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Natasha Dalal on January 24, 2021. The wedding was a close-knit affair with very few guests in attendance due to the coronavirus pandemic.
