Haryana Women's Commission seeks to seize Badshah's passport in Tateeree row

After Badshah failed to appear before the Haryana Women's Commission, the chairperson revealed she has ordered the SP to arrest Badshah and issue search orders for him

Rapper-singer Badshah has been embroiled in controversy over his Haryanvi track Tateeree, which led to massive backlash for its allegedly vulgar lyrics, offensive language, gestures, and visuals showing girls in school uniforms. The Haryana State Commission for Women had issued a summons to the singer, asking him to appear before the commission in Panipat by 3 pm on Friday, however he skipped the summons.
Women's panel calls for Badshah to be arrested
According to PTI, the chairperson of the Commission, Renu Bhatia, spoke to reporters and announced that she has directed that Badshah’s passport be seized to ensure that he cannot leave the country and that he gets arrested.
