When we try connecting with Mandira Bedi, she disconnects because she is on a harness, climbing up a wall as participant on an upcoming reality show. “I’m doing things that I have never done before. Currently, I am competing with 20-year-olds and I’m the only mom on the show,” she laughs. The actor, anchor, sports presenter and designer, who launched her sari label and store, two years ago, is now extending it to a multi-designer outlet, M The Store, along with an online portal, mthestore.com. The store features Indian ethnic wear, Western wear, Indo-Western, prêt fusion, accessories and kurtis, along with her trademark saris. Excerpts from the chat.
