Salman Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar

A while ago, the industry was abuzz about Salman Khan being approached for Race 3. Now, there's talk that the star has recommended Sultan director Ali Abbas Zafar's name for wielding the directorial baton.

The first two outings of Race in 2008 and 2013 were directed by the Men In White duo, Abbas-Mustan. Producer Kumar Taurani is also apparently looking for a new director for the third outing of the thriller franchise. Sallu is slated to play a negative role.
