London: Veteran actress Meryl Streep says she is inpsired by Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousufzai. The multiple Oscar-winner will be seen playing the role of Emmeline Pankhurst, the leader of British suffragette movement in "Suffragette".

When asked what inspired her, Streep told Time Out, "Malala Yousafzai and her classmates in Pakistan." In reply to a question whether she was a feminist, the 66-year-old actress said, "I am a humanist, I am for nice easy balance."
