After redefining the superhero genre with HanuMan, filmmaker Prasanth Varma and RKD Studios have officially introduced the face of their next ambitious project, Mahakali. The makers unveiled Bhoomi Shetty as the titular lead with a striking first-look poster that has already ignited buzz across the industry. She was last seen in Vijay Deverakonda's Telugu film Kingdom earlier this year.

Currently over 50 percent complete, the film is being shot on a massive set in Hyderabad. In a bold move, the makers have placed their trust in a newcomer, reportedly investing a substantial budget despite the absence of an established star. Sources suggest several top actresses were considered, but Varma remained firm in his vision to cast a dark-skinned debutante who embodies the authenticity and power of the goddess.
