Indian ambassador to Spain Jayant Khobragade in his solo exhibition at Travancore Palace here has explored themes of nature, mythology, and spirituality.
"Journey with the Divine Flow", curated by Gargi Seth, was inaugurated by Union Minister for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal who commended Khobragade's work and said the "younger generation should draw inspiration from him".
"Scenes related to Lord Ram have been depicted here through paintings. Similarly, scenes related to Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva, and Lord Buddha have also been portrayed through his artwork. The younger generation will receive great inspiration from this.
"The subject he has chosen is also excellent. When emotions arise in the mind, especially those connected with divinity, such beautiful creations can emerge from a human being," Meghwal said.
Khobragade's artworks draw prominently from the divine and mythological forms, inspired by Indian traditions as well as their cultural resonance across southeast Asia.
Movement and rhythm form another vital strand of his artistic expression, as figures in his paintings often appear in motion - dancing, playing instruments, or immersed in an interplay of nature, music, and dance.
Nature also dominantly appears in Khobragade's paintings through lush green lakesides, blue mountain valleys, and hillslopes in a snow storm.
"He has also depicted elements connected with nature through his paintings. I believe this is a very commendable effort. I wish him a bright future, and I&nbsp; hope his efforts bear fruit, that more and more people see his work and draw inspiration from it," Meghwal added.
The exhibition will come to an end on April 5.&nbsp;
