Okay so you&rsquo;ve won a college competition, now what? Is that going to be the end of your discovery of your own talent? Not if the college you&rsquo;ve won the competition is IIT Powai and the name of the festival is Mood Indigo (MI). <img alt="" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2013/jun/NCPA-play.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 211px;" /> A still from a play that was staged at NCPA last year as part of Aaveg Asia&rsquo;s largest college cultural festival gives an opportunity to its winners to showcase their talent on the professional stage. Since the past four years, the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) has associated with MI to provide students an opportunity to &lsquo;Live Their Passion&rsquo;. This year too, the show Aaveg will see an impressive plethora of talent, as the top entries for the year 2012-2013 perform in front of adman-lyricist Prasoon Joshi and other guests on June 27. Explaining the thought behind the show, Abhirath Sharma, the media head of MI, says, &ldquo;It goes a long way in helping the winners live their passions. It is one of the things that sets MI apart from other college festivals.&rdquo; There will be a number of winners from various competitions displaying their mettle at the show. The top three troupes of best actors, directors and script writers of Third Bell (One Act Play), will come together to present their one-act plays. The top two participants of Nrityangan will showcase their prowess in classical dance. In the duet instrumental section Swaranjali, the winners of the competition will regale the audience with some soothing instrumental music. For the film buffs, there will be a screening of the top three movies made by three young directors of the national-level Director&rsquo;s Cut competition. And for those interested in photography and fine arts, a collection of photographs and sketches of the winners of the photography and fine arts competition will be on display in the foyer. The best part? Anyone who&rsquo;s interested in watching the performances of these winners can do it for free. Deepa Gahlot, head programming theatre and films, NCPA, says the idea is to connect to the youth. &ldquo;It is encouraging for these students to perform at an iconic space like NCPA. So far, nobody had given them such a platform.
