One of William Shakespeare&rsquo;s most popular works, Romeo and Juliet, premiered at the Bolshoi Theatre in 1979 under the watchful direction of Yuri Grigorovich. <img alt="" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2013/may/Romeo-and-Juliet-by-Damir-Y.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 331px;" /> The ballet was a revival of the original work written by Sergei Prokfiev and featured Grigorovich&rsquo;s wife Natalia Bessmertnova as Juliet. The two-act play became an instant hit, but was stopped after Grigorovich was forced to quit Bolshoi Theatre.
