Five Bangladeshi nationals arrested for illegal stay in Navi Mumbai

Navi Mumbai Police have arrested five Bangladeshi nationals for residing in India without valid documents. The accused had overstayed visas or entered illegally and obtained fraudulent Indian IDs

Five Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested in Navi Mumbai for allegedly residing in India without valid immigration documents, according to PTI. The arrests were made following a targeted operation by the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of Navi Mumbai Police, who raided a residential premise in the Karanjade locality of Panvel on Sunday morning.

The police action led to the discovery of six individuals, including two women and a child, all suspected to be Bangladeshi nationals. Following initial verification of their documents and immigration status, five adults were taken into custody.
