Demands unheard, teachers plan to boycott HSC exams from Feb 3

<p>About 60,000 junior college teachers have written a letter to the Board from across the state, confirming their participation in the boycott of the HSC examinations</p>

After the state’s cabinet meeting on Wednesday at the state guesthouse ignored the demands made by the Maharashtra Federation of Junior College Teachers’ Organisation (MFJCTO), the teachers strengthened their resolve to boycott the oral state board examination of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC), starting from February 3. The education minister, however, seems unperturbed and has assured that the exams will commence smoothly.
