Uddhav Thackeray had spine surgery on Nov 12 but developed some issues later

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, who was said to be recuperating from a cervical spine surgery, underwent an emergency surgery on Thursday morning after he developed blood clots that were compressing his spinal cord. The chief minister, who is admitted on the 19th floor of Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital since November 10, underwent his first surgery on November 12.
However, according to hospital sources, he developed issues and was taken in again for a surgery to remove the blood clots. The second surgery, which was performed in a special operating theatre on the 18th floor of the hospital, is said to be headed by Dr Shekhar Bhojraj, his spine surgeon, and Dr Ajit Desai, his cardiologist.
