Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar held a meeting in the state secretariat in Mumbai on Wednesday.
The construction work of the Mumbai-Goa Highway should be completed urgently in view of the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar directed officials on Wednesday. A fund of Rs 21 crore will be allocated for the development of roads near the Indapur-Mangao stretch on the highway, Pawar stated.
The meeting was held in the state secretariat, where the Deputy CM stated that the remaining works on the Mumbai-Goa Highway be completed on a "mission mode" basis, under the chairmanship of the Public Works Minister Shivendraraje Bhosale. He also announced the formation of a state-level committee to oversee the work and ensure its timely completion.
Women and Child Development Women Aditi Tatkare, Member of Parliament (MP) Sunil Tatkare, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) OP Gupta, and Planning Department Secretary Dr Rajgopal Devra, among other officials, attended the meeting.
