Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has decided to set up a first of its kind monument for Param Vir Chakra awardees at the Birla Sports Centre here.

A decision to this effect was taken by Maharashtra state finance minister Sudhir Mungantiwar today at a meeting chaired by him, which was attended by Revenue Department Principal Secretary Manu Kumar Shrivastav, Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) Commissioner Ajoy Mehta and others.
