Maharashtra cabinet announces new housing policy with focus on low-income groups

CM Fadnavis announced that the 'Maha Awaas' portal will unify all housing schemes, ensure land availability, promote sustainability with modern tech, and address urban and rural housing needs comprehensively

The Maharashtra cabinet on Tuesday unveiled a new housing policy aimed at slum rehabilitation and redevelopment, backed by a substantial investment of Rs 70,000 crore.

Talking to reporters after the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the policy focuses on housing for the common man with the motto "My Home, My Right", reported news agency PTI.
