The Maharashtra Government has appointed the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) as the special planning authority for the Worli Dairy land, facilitating a revamp for the 6.4-hectare plot, located in the heart of the city.

The state’s urban development department, through a notification, declared the Worli Dairy land as a "notified area" under Section 40(1) of the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966, and appointed MMRDA as the SPA.
