From today, commuters can track the progress of BEST buses thanks to a new Google Maps feature. On Wednesday, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the ‘BEST bus on Google Maps’ service. “The new service will make travel easier for commuters,” he said.
As per a statement by the chief minister’s office, the technology-driven service will provide commuters with live updates regarding bus arrivals, routes and even delays, if any. Data for the service will be provided by the BEST administration to Google. Roli Agarwal, India head for partnerships, Google, said the service will be available in Marathi Hindi, and English.
