Before the elections face-off begins, corporators will finally meet each other physically, following the state government’s nod to start physical meetings instead of online ones.

The general body meeting of the corporation, which was online for the last one-and-a-half years, is likely to be held physically from next Monday. However, considering the large number of corporators in the civic body, the present historic hall is insufficient to seat everyone keeping in mind Covid protocol. Sources said the Mayor has directed the municipal commissioner to grant permission to use a hall where the general body meetings can be conducted and now the scramble to arrange for a new place has started.
