Mumbai: Drunk driver rams into 66-year-old senior citizen in Vasai

Chased by the Vasai police after seriously injuring the senior citizen, 36-year-old real estate agent behind the wheel crashes into the compound wall of a housing society

Driving drunk and recklessly, as per the police, Nishiket More, a 36-year-old real estate agent in Vasai, speeds towards Vinod Kashinath Patil, 66, who is on a scooter. “My father-in-law was waiting for his brother outside a society at Tarkhad village in Vasai West to go for a relative’s funeral,” Patil’s son-in-law Nikhil Raut told mid-day later

Nishiket More hits Patil, sending him flying in the air. The incident happened around 10.30 pm on Tuesday, Dattatraya Gujar, assistant sub-inspector of Vasai police station, told mid-day. “He was driving back from an alcohol party with his friends at a dhaba,” he added. Raut said Patil was flung 10 feet in the air and sustained severe injuries to his left leg and left hand after crashing on the road
