The Wadala Truck Terminal police have registered a case over the birthday celebrations of a constable’s son at Mumbai's Pratiksha Nagar police quarters in Sion East. The police took action after a mid-day photojournalist captured a group of people dancing raunchily.

Sources said charges have been pressed against constable Praveen Sarvade for the gathering of a crowd in violation of Covid-19 norms. On Saturday, the police recorded the statements of Sarvade, a trans person identified as Sultan and a certain Rahul. They said the police are trying to identify all those who attended the obscene bash through the photographs shared by mid-day.
