Fire at Girgaon Receiving Station disrupts power in South Mumbai

A fire broke out at Girgaon Receiving Station in South Mumbai during high-pressure network work, briefly disrupting power supply. The blaze was contained using CO2 cylinders, and restoration is underway with power expected to normalise soon

A fire broke out at the Girgaon Receiving Station in South Mumbai on Tuesday while sectionalising the high-pressure electricity network, briefly affecting power distribution in parts of South Mumbai.
Officials at around 9:30 pm on Tuesday said that the ripping work is going on; it shall take more than half an hour to 1 hour to get fixed.
