IMD issues yellow alert for Mumbai, Palghar and Thane; predicts rains

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, Palghar and Thane districts in Maharashtra and predicted thunderstorm and rains.
In a weather bulletin, the IMD predicted, "Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning, light to moderate rains and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) at isolated places were very likely in Mumbai on September 24."
