The Western Railway on Friday said that some AC local trains in Mumbai will remain cancelled on April 21 due to a problem in the motor of one AC rake. The Western Railway said that some services were being converted to non-ac due to the problem.
The Western Railway CPRO said, "There was Alarm Chain Pulling at Mira Rd at 9.02 hrs in Up slow line due to cooling issues of the AC local. Hence the said local had to be run with open doors . Subsequently AC was attended by concerned staff and by the time the train reached Mahalaxmi all the doors were closed and AC too was functioning."
