Building on the overwhelming student response to its joint degree programmes in data analytics and cybersecurity, the University of Mumbai (MU) has announced the launch of a new international joint Master of Science (MS) degree in chemical sciences, in collaboration with Saint Louis University (SLU), a private Jesuit research university in United States. Founded in 1818 by Louis William Valentine DuBourg, it is the oldest university west of the Mississippi River and the second-oldest Jesuit university in the United States.
The course is set to begin in the upcoming 2025-26 academic year, marking a significant expansion in the university’s global academic offerings. The joint degree initiative is part of a broader international academic partnership between the two institutions, aimed at equipping students with global exposure, advanced research capabilities, and industry-relevant skills. As per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between MU and SLU, the programme will offer students a cross-continental educational experience, culminating in dual degrees from both universities.
