Mumbai University plans battery-operated vehicles for in-campus transport

According to university officials, the institution has secured a grant of Rs 30 lakh for the initiative. Each battery-operated vehicle is expected to cost between Rs 5.70 lakh and Rs 6.20 lakh

The University of Mumbai is planning to introduce battery-operated vehicles to improve mobility within its campus, with around four to five buggies likely to be deployed at different entry gates.
According to university officials, the institution has secured a grant of Rs 30 lakh for the initiative. Each battery-operated vehicle is expected to cost between Rs 5.70 lakh and Rs 6.20 lakh.
