Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) leader Supriya Sule on Thursday sought urgent intervention from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to secure the safety and release of a young man from Maharashtra’s Beed district, who is reportedly trapped in severe legal and humanitarian distress in Dubai.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Sule highlighted the plight of Akash Suresh Jagtap, who had travelled to Dubai for employment but was allegedly cheated by an intermediary. According to her post, the youth is now entangled in a serious legal case, and his family in Maharashtra has lost all contact with him.
