BMC gives the owner, director seven days’ time to reply, failing which the unauthorised constructions will be taken down

The BMC sent a notice to Union Minister Narayan Rane’s bungalow Adhish in Juhu over unauthorised construction, on Friday. The civic body has given seven days’ time to reply to its notice with permission for construction, failing which the BMC will pull down the unauthorised structures at the owner’s risk and cost and the owner and developer may be prosecuted under section 475 A of the MMC Act which is punishable with imprisonment and fine.
As per the notice sent to the owner as well as the director of M/s Artline Properties Pvt Ltd, the BMC team found unauthorised changes on all floors, barring the 7th floor, of the 8-storey bungalow. Neelam Narayan Rane and Nilesh Narayan Rane are the directors of the firm.
