The Reay Road bridge was formally inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday evening. The work on the bridge began in 2022 and was completed in December 2024. The cost of the bridge, constructed by the Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation (MahaRail), is Rs 266 crore. This is the first cable-stayed road overbridge (ROB) in the city, and it has been decorated with architectural LED lighting. Her husband, Abhishek Ghosalkar, was shot dead in early 2024 during a Facebook Live allegedly by local resident Morris Noronha. Abhishek was also a former corporator of the BMC.
