Mumbai Rains: Mithi river breaches danger mark, 350 evacuated from low-lying areas The water level of the Mithi river had risen to 3.9 meters. As a precautionary measure, around 350 residents from low-lying areas in Krantinagar, Kurla, were evacuated and shifted to the temporary shelter set up at Maganadas Mathuram BMC School. The BMC has arranged for food and other basic amenities for the evacuees at the shelter. As the high tide has now begun to recede, the water level of the Mithi river has also started decreasing, dropping from 3.9 meters to 3.6 meters, BMC informed.
