Just a few hours after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi organised a press conference highlighting the voter list manipulation by the Election Commission, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis firmly rejected Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's allegation. The Congress leader, while drawing major attention to the Maharashtra Assembly Poll 2024, said that the 2024 assembly polls in the western state, won with a decisive mandate by the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance, were "stolen".

Rahul Gandhi, while speaking to reporters at AICC headquarters in New Delhi, said that “Maharashtra results confirmed his party's suspicion that the assembly elections were 'stolen',” as cited by news agency PTI.

The Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha further asserted that, “Not giving machine-readable voter lists convinced us that the Election Commission (EC) colluded with BJP to 'steal' elections in Maharashtra," as per news agency PTI.
