The City of Nawabs has earned a global honour, with Lucknow officially inducted into UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network (CCN) under the “Gastronomy” category. The recognition celebrates the city’s centuries-old culinary legacy, from its famed kebabs to its delicate sweets, marking a proud moment for Uttar Pradesh.

The CCN acknowledges cities worldwide that use creativity as a driver of sustainable urban development. UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay named 58 new cities to the network on October 31, bringing the total to 408 across more than 100 countries.
