Journalist Priya Ramani on Monday told a Delhi court that all those women who spoke against the sexual misconduct by former Union Minister MJ Akbar in the wake of #MeToo movement in 2018 should be celebrated and not prosecuted for defamation.
In 2018, Ramani had accused Akbar of sexual harassment during his previous role as newspaper editor 20 years ago. Pursuant to her accusation, several former colleagues of Akbar also come out with different allegations against him.
