Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi on Monday accused opposition parties of shielding illegal immigrants, claiming infiltration had triggered a “demographic crisis” in eastern states like Bihar, Assam, and West Bengal, leaving people “worried for the honour of their sisters and daughters”, news agency PTI reported.

Addressing a rally in Bihar’s Purnea, PM Modi slammed the Congress for allegedly comparing Biharis to ‘bidis,’ calling it an insult to the state and its people. He claimed parties like Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) have endangered the security and resources of Bihar and the nation by defending and shielding foreign infiltrators.
