Samik Bhattacharya files nomination for West Bengal BJP president

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha MP Samik Bhattacharya on Wednesday filed his nomination for the post of West Bengal BJP President. He was accompanied by the Leader of Opposition in West Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari, and the current West Bengal BJP Chief and Union Minister, Sukanta Majumdar.

Speaking to ANI, Bhattacharya stated that the party leadership had instructed him to file a nomination, which he duly followed.

"I have nothing to say right now. The process is still underway. It has not concluded yet. Party leadership told me to file a nomination, and I did that. The result is yet to come," he said.
