The shortage has sparked national concern, with political leaders and hoteliers calling for urgent intervention to protect energy interests. Earlier on Tuesday, the Coimbatore District Hoteliers' Association (CDHA) also urged the government to take immediate steps to ensure an uninterrupted fuel supply to the hospitality sector 

Jharkhand Minister Irfan Ansari also urged the Centre to restore commercial LPG to hotels and industrial canteens amid shortages."Industrial canteens are struggling to provide meals, risking worker food security and nation's industrial progress," he said
