Jaishankar emphasised the importance of boosting Assam and the Northeast’s global profile to attract more tourism and investment. Officials confirmed that Kaziranga has already welcomed over three lakh visitors this season, reflecting growing interest in the region.

<div>Assam Agriculture Minister Atul Bora, MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, and Kaziranga National Park Director Sonali Ghosh accompanied the delegation. Jaishankar and some envoys were seen feeding the elephants after their safari, adding a personal touch to their visit.</div>

<p>The delegation will later travel to Guwahati for the Jhumoir dance performance by 9,000 artistes, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma called the visit “historic,” stating it would strengthen foreign collaboration and investment in the state.</p>
