The protests by medical professionals continued in Kolkata on Friday, despite rain. The members of the medical community are demanding justice for a 31-year-old postgraduate trainee who was brutally sexually assaulted and murdered on August 9 in a state-run hospital in Kolkata. The case is currently being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation. The Kolkata Police, which was earlier probing the sexual assault and murder, had arrested a civic volunteer for the crime
