The police have arrested two men for allegedly performing black magic rituals at a crematorium in Thane district recently.
According to reports, the matter came to light when a police patil, who is responsible for maintaining order within villages, assisting the police in investigations, and liaising between the administration and villagers, discovered two photographs of unidentified women pasted onto a lemon wrapped in black cloth. This was placed at the crematorium grounds in Pimplasgaon village in Bhiwandi.
Police said two men had allegedly indulged in black magic at the site between June 29 and July 4. The men were arrested on Saturday and booked under the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act.
