Murmurs of a patch-up between Sharad Pawar and nephew Ajit, and cousins Uddhav and Raj Thackeray seem more political optimism than possibility given the monumental issues at stake

For the last few days, the political climate in Maharashtra has been rife with speculations about two potential reunions — one between Sharad Pawar and his estranged nephew Ajit, and the other between the always-at-loggerheads Thackeray cousins, Uddhav and Raj.
Practically speaking, reuniting both Pawars and Thackerays looks difficult. But, even if it were to happen, the process would be exceedingly complex and time-consuming, owing to a lot of conditions and compromises required for the reunions.
