President Donald Trump on Wednesday (local time) signed a memorandum directing the withdrawal of the United States (US) from several international organisations, conventions and treaties that he said are “contrary to the interests” of the country.
According to the Presidential Memoranda statement released by the White House, the US will withdraw from 66 international bodies, including 35 non-UN organisations and 31 United Nations (UN) entities, news agency ANI reported.
