Overwhelmed hospitals in the US are converting chapels, cafeterias, waiting rooms, hallways, even a parking garage into patient treatment areas. "We are depressed, disheartened and tired to the bone," said Alison Johnson, director of critical care at Johnson City Medical Center in Tennessee.
