While India cruised to a convincing seven-wicket win over arch-rivals Pakistan in their Asia Cup 2025 clash on Sunday, the match has become a hotbed of controversy.

From the outset, tension was evident. At the toss, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav pointedly avoided shaking hands with his Pakistani counterpart Salman Ali Agha.
