In a major setback during the ongoing IPL 2025 clash between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi skipper Axar Patel was spotted walking off the field due to an injury.

The incident occurred on the fourth delivery of the 18th over when Patel attempted to stop a single and hurt his left hand in the process, the same hand he relies on predominantly for both batting and bowling. Medical staff promptly rushed onto the field and, after assessing the situation, advised the all-rounder to exit the field for further treatment.
